While several luxury SUVs are on the market, none are as impressive as the new Range Rover. This three-row model offers a comfortable and luxurious drive for seven while providing enough tech to provide plenty of entertainment whether you're on a long road trip or simply driving to work. There's much to discuss with the new Range Rover, so if you wish to learn more, continue reading or stop by Land Rover Nashville.
What's New?
The new Range Rover receives several new updates this year. A special edition called the Carmel Edition was made available, and it came with pearl oyster accents, two-tone leather upholstery, and white ceramic interior trim. Only seven of these models were built, and they were designed to showcase the new customization service called SV Bespoke.
Other updates include upgraded powertrains. A 606-hp V8 now powers the SV model, and the plug-in-hybrid produces 542 horsepower.

Performance
There are four powertrain options for the new Range Rover. The base powertrain is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system that produces 395 horsepower and 406 lbs.-ft of torque. The other engines include:
- Turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 (523 hp, 553 lbs.-ft)
- Turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder and plug-in hybrid system (542 hp and 590 lbs.-ft)
- Turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 (606 hp, 553 lbs.-ft)
Regardless of your chosen engine, every Range Rover comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Fuel Economy
In the EPA's estimation, the entry-level Range Rover gets around 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Meanwhile, the V8 models earn around 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. As for the plug-in hybrid, these numbers haven't been released.
Design
While the interior of the Ranger Rover has received several new features and upgrades, the exterior has no new enhancements. In the cabin, drivers will find this three-row SUV has a plush space crafted with rich leather and wood and a third row best suited for children or smaller adults. There's also a motorized divider behind the third row to separate the cargo area. However, if you prefer something other than leather, wool or other upholstery options are available.
Technology
With such a posh cabin space, it only makes sense the new Range Rover has a copious number of high-tech features. On the dash rests a new 13.1-inch curved infotainment display running on the latest Pivi Pro interface. This display comes with in-dash navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Amazon's Alexa voice assistant.
For added convenience, Nashville drivers can opt for a higher trim and get features like a front console refrigerator, a Meridian stereo system with 35 speakers, and noise-canceling tech to block out ambient noise. There's even an optional rear-seat entertainment system with dual 11.4-inch displays to entertain passengers on longer drives.
Safety
Regardless of the trim purchased, drivers will receive a fair number of advanced driver-aids, most of which come on the base model. Basic equipment includes rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system. In higher trims, drivers can expect a head-up display and an automated parking system.
Trims
There are three trims available for the Range Rover
